Ward was born in MonroeLouisiana on 14 April1976. Monroe Christian School is a Christian-only private school. For her secondary education, Ward initially attended Ouachita High School. She then transferred to River Oaks High School during the summer following her Junior year. She briefly studied at Northeast Louisiana University after graduating. Ward started modeling at the age of thirteen. She left school to move into New York. She tried her hand at acting several years later. In the 1970s, she had a small part that was not credited on the daytime soap All My Children. Then she was cast in a role that lasted only a few minutes on NBC's primetime teen-drama Malibu Shores. It was not a big success in cinemas, but did well on home video and cable. Ward then played an important supporting role in Shallow Hal, a hit film. Also, she appeared as a guest in several TV shows and direct-to-DVD movies. In 2009she was cast in the role of Chloe Kmet, the mother to a young girl in the ABC Family drama Make It or Break It. She was married to David C. Robinson, a producer. They had a child named Cameron.
